Administration Ministries

Cleaning Ministry - Prepares the worship space for our weekend liturgies, e.g. includes light feather dusting, maintaining candles, and tidying up the gathering area. One person is needed during the day between Thursday and Saturday each week for approximately 1½ hours. Families and Confirmation Candidates are welcomed to assist.

Supper Club - Provides adults (married and single) the opportunity to meet other parishioners and share a meal. It could be a progressive supper, a potluck, or a restaurant experience.

Finance - Oversees the financial operations of the parish including accounting, internal control procedures, loans, mortgages, and planned giving. Develops a parish budget in cooperation with parish commissions and ministries and presents it to the Parish Council for their approval. Meets quarterly.

General Office Help - Supports the parish staff with basic administrative support which could include answering phones and greeting those coming to the Church, making copies, stuffing envelopes, folding music sheets, preparing faith formation packets, data entry, word processing, etc. Availability is ideal during the day, but other arrangements are possible.

Inside Plants - Waters and cares for plants inside the church and gathering area.

Laundry - Takes the linens used for Mass and towels and cleaning rags used at the church to one’s home and returns them cleaned. Frequency depends on the number of people involved.

Maintenance & Projects - Provides assistance with routine maintenance projects and/or repairs, e.g. moving chairs and tables to allow for regular cleaning of the floors, painting, window cleaning, mulching, edging of flower beds, spring clean-up, snow removal of sidewalks and entrances.

Outside Plants - Cares for outside plants and shrubs and performs ongoing weeding and tree grooming.

SCRIP - Provides parishioners the opportunity to purchase SCRIP before and after weekend masses. SCRIP is recognized as a merchant’s gift card and is used as cash to pay for purchases at a wide variety of stores, e.g. food, department stores, gas, restaurants. Approximately 5% of each sale is returned to the parish. It pays your bills and the parish bills.
